I wish I had an actual recipe for you but I literally just wing most soups with whatever is in my fridge. This is the gist of what I do! Forgot to show seasonings in this but I usually just season to taste with Nature’s and Celery Salt.
Here’s a list of what I usually use. As with most everything I make…. I measure with my heart 🫶🏼
• 4ish cups shredded chicken
• 1 bag frozen egg noodles
• carrots, celery, and an onion chopped (use the food processor #easy)
• for the broth I usually use the juices left over after cooking a whole chicken in the instant pot, then I add water and more homemade chicken broth OR use Better than Bouillon to make some nice flavorful broth to add
• season to taste using Nature’s and celery salt or whatever your favorite seasonings are
** there’s no true order this has to be in. I’ve been in a hurry before and just dumped it all together, brought it to a boil, then let it simmer for a few hours or until we’re ready to eat!
It’s simple, don’t overthink it. You can do it!!

IYKYK. Every kernel counts 🌽🤣

There’s something about moving 400 cows through fresh powder that calls for some drone footage.
Wait for the end to see Levi blow me a kiss.
Back at ya best friend! 😘

A little recap from last week when we ventured off into a snow storm to learn all about what is up and coming with @precision.planting
We made it home safe so it was #worthit 🤓
#PrecisionPlantingPartner and proud of it!
Let me know if in the comments if you attended Winter Conference and what your favorite part was!!
Here it is y’all! 🌽
The finished basement bar. It turned out better than I envisioned and we love it so much!
Cabinet color was inspired by @eaglerockranchco front door 🤣 it is Mediterranean Teal from @benjaminmoore
Butcher block counter top is solid American Walnut and was made by my brother @squaregdesigns (he made us a cutting board out of the sink cut out and it is gorgeous)
The tin ceiling is old tin that Levi pulled off a barn at his grandpa’s place back in 2014. We’ve had this tin in our basement since before we built our house. Waiting for it’s moment to shine!
Fridge was NEW but on clearance at @nfm_mrsb 🙌🏼
The floating shelf is a big chunk of wood I found in an old building on our yard (God bless generational farm yards and the many treasures we find!)
Wallpaper was a custom reprint from @kravetinc that was originally designed for @graduatehotels Lincoln NE location. If you’ve inquired about the wallpaper, I promise I’m looking into it and will keep you posted! 🌽😍🤗
Stay tuned for the rest of the basement remodel!

Hog Butcher 2023 by the numbers.
What started as a basic act of survival back in 1885 when Levi’s family first immigrated here from Germany has turned into a long standing, multi generational family tradition.
A few years ago we were butchering 6 hogs in a weekend, then 8, then 11, and now 14! As our family grows and our friends grow more interested in being a part of putting meat on their family’s tables, the hog butcher tradition has grown too. It’s not just about knowing where your food comes from, it’s about preserving some of the most important life skills and ensuring the next generation will be able to feed themselves, no matter what.
Leave all your hog butcher questions in the comments and I’ll answer them in the next few days!
Check out my “traditions” highlight for more of the process!
